• The wife of a loving and understanding husband, Jim, a machinist.
• The proud mother of two unbelievably brilliant, talented, loving, and beautiful children, Carol, who is the lovely wife of their son-in-Gospel Matthew Laux. Matt and Carol now have two daughters named Mikayla Elaine and Kelly. Their son William is a Director of Christian Education at Celebration Lutheran in Appleton, Wisconsin. William is married to our daughter-in-Gospel Julie, who is a paralegal. Bill and Julie also now have a daughter named Jenna Anne and a grandson named Jacob.

She is also the author of three Bible study books - Living With Compulsive Behavior , Growing as a Christian Mother , and Roots and Wings: A Parent's Challenge .

• A frequent humorous and inspirational banquet and retreat speaker.

Jan Brunette is a graduate of Concordia Teacher’s College, Seward, Nebraska with a BS Degree in Education.  In addition to 15 years of teaching experience, she has worked with the Sunday school programs of several churches, helped to organize a preschool in Tennessee, and served as Family Life Coordinator in the Mid-South District of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod, helping to form a single’s ministry in that district.  In the late 90’s, she served as Prayer Chair for the Little Rock Billy Graham Crusade.  After the crusade, she organized prayer groups both in her church and in the community.   

In the area of women’s ministries, she has held the position of Christian Growth Chair of the LWML (Lutheran Women’s Missionary League) at local, zone and district levels and served as the HOPE Committee Chair at the national level from 2003-2005.  She served as a Mission-Ministry Vision Consultant at the national level of the LWML for six years.

Jan is a member of the Humble Artesian Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) in Humble, Texas and a member of the Kingwood Area Quilt Guild, Kingwood, Texas. 

In the past 8 years, Jan has made presentations in the following states:  Florida, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, Arkansas, Washington, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Idaho, and North Dakota.

Jan has an abiding love for Christ as her personal Savior and cherishes the relationship she has with Him.  She never fails to seek Him in His Word and daily prays for growth and wisdom.  The Almighty God is her source of strength and her heart is burdened with the need to share Christ’s love with others, revealing a HOPE found only in Him.
